Job Summary

As a key member of the Marriott International, Inc. Human Resources team, the Human Resources Manager II plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the HR department. This includes overseeing recruitment, total compensation, and training and development initiatives to meet the needs of employees and drive business success.

Core Responsibilities

  1. Managing Recruitment and Hiring Process
  • Collaborate with HR team members to conduct interviews and hire candidates with the necessary skills.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with external recruitment sources to identify top talent.
  • Attend job fairs and document outreach efforts to ensure compliance with HR Standard Operating Procedures.
Administering and Educating Employee Benefits
  • Work with the unemployment services provider to respond to claims, review reports for accuracy, and correct errors.
  • Prepare, audit, and distribute unemployment claim activity reports to property management.
  • Represent the company at unemployment hearings and ensure proper representation.
Managing Employee Development
  • Support a departmental orientation program to provide new hires with the necessary training to perform their job.
  • Ensure employees are cross-trained to support successful daily operations.
  • Utilize on-the-job training tools, supervise training initiatives, and conduct training sessions as needed.
