With tracks in leadership, supply chain management, manufacturing engineering, procurement and environmental health and safety, it lets you explore different aspects of our business and gain new technical and leadership abilities.

**JOB PURPOSE**:
To create and maintain a safe work environment while leading the receipt, processing, packaging, storage, order filling and shipment of parts to Caterpillar dealers, Distribution Centers and Regional Distribution Centers to support the end users of Caterpillar equipment.

**JOB RELATED STATISTICS**:

**Description**:This position is an entry-level Distribution Supervisor position. This position is provided guidance and support by more senior level Distribution Supervisors, Facility Manager, etc.

Supervises/leads a group up to 30 people to ensure completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established processes. The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.

Ensures parts inventory is received, processed and stored in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Assists office personnel to complete order processing by providing data on orders in process and resolves grief associated with orders. Responds to customer calls and provides necessary information and assistance to complete orders. Contributes to the development of an effective work force by assigning, directing and motivating employees to conform to defined and documented processes. Provides necessary on the job training. Contributes to improving productivity and quality by taking ownership of the process. Embraces continuous improvement and the development of teams as a preferred operating method. Maintains high employee morale by ensuring basic elements of work discipline are delivered. Contributes to the overall team productivity by performing assigned tasks, normally performed by subordinates, such as filling orders, packing orders or storing receipts.

Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).

**JOB REQUIEREMENTS**
- The position requires knowledge of various purchasing and materials systems, receiving report processing, and state and federal shipping regulations.
- Bachelor degree finished.
- In addition, 3 - 5 years of job-related experience are typically required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required in order to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.
- Intermediate - advanced English
