The Finance Reporting Senior Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for the generation, tracking and submission of financial reports in coordination with the Finance Team. The overall objective of this role is to accurately prepare and report business/financial transactions, reports and statements in accordance with local regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting
  • Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period
  • Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events
  • Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures
  • Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects
  • Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions
  • Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products
  • Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
  • Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
  • Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
  • Ability to work with multiple functions
  • Proven problem-solving skills
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Licenciatura Contabilidad, Administración o Afín

  • Necesaria experiencia mínimo de 3 años de experiencia comprobable en el área contable o de análisis financiero

  • Organización y gestión del tiempo. Capacidad para trabajar bajo presión y gestionar plazos o cambios inesperados en las expectativas o requisitos.  Planificación eficiente de tareas y cumplimiento de plazos.

  • Resolución de problemas, trabajo en equipo, comunicación, adaptabilidad a condiciones dinámicas de los requerimientos del área

  • Comunicación Efectiva. Habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal claras y concisas, para interactuar con diferentes áreas de la empresa y explicar los resultados de sus análisis y procesos a Gerencia

  • Pensamiento Crítico. Para evaluar la correcta aplicación de las políticas internas y normativas contables.

  • Data Management - Manejo de Office principalmente Excel comprobable, nivel avanzado y adicional de otras herramientas de consolidación y análisis de datos avanzado Financial Citi systems such as: PEARL, P2P, APSS, FULL SUITE. - DESEABLE

  • Inglés intermedio-avanzado. Documentación de procesos, manuales y políticas internas, diagramas de flujo, identificación de control, riesgos. Capacidad de análisis. Habilidad para examinar a detalle las cuentas de gastos y balance, Inter compañías identificar tendencias y explicar variaciones significativas respecto a periodos anteriores. experiencia en procesos operativos de Activos Fijos. - DESEABLE

  • Conocimiento de las normas y regulaciones relacionadas al rubro de Propiedad Mobiliario y Equipo - DESEABLE
  • Orientación al detalle. Fundamental para asegurar la precisión en la codificación de gastos y la correcta aplicación de ambos marcos contables, MXGAAP y USGAAP DESEABLE
