Mould Maintenance is a crucial function and a critical part of the foundation in Moulding operation with the overall ambition that all moulds fulfill company requirements in terms of reliability, product quality and availability for production. Mould Maintenance Department is responsible for Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Moulds, Mould Transition, Mould Arrival, Mould Destruction, Mould Shots Evaluation and Special Cases linked to unavailable moulds with potential impact to Production, Guaranty Acceptance Test process and Total Preventive Maintenance of Auxiliary Equipment.

The purpose of this position is to ensure that the ambition described above is achieved with a clear connection to the LEGO Competency Framework and through collaboration with the most important partners e.g. Planning, Engineering and Production and at any time in compliance with company rules, values and standards.
Main challenges
Work under pressure In control of daily operations and delivery moulds to production and at the same time deploy and manage new ways of thinking and working.
Mould Maintenance have and will in the future experience many changes to the daily routines and processes which calls for great communication skills, change management and people involvement.
Core Responsibilities
- Encourage development and innovation of mould processes internally in Mould Maintenance but also in terms of flow of moulds to receivers to improve efficiency and operation execution.
- Demonstrate leadership and provide the context that makes the teams perform and develop.
- Proactively collaborate with E&M, Planning and Production to secure the most optimal flow but also innovate future processes.
- Close collaboration with Component Planning regarding planning principles and operations execution.
- Support and manage daily operation by structured follow up on performance and actions on deviations trough daily SQDCP meeting structure.
- Participate and contribute to global face to face meetings and live meetings with global Mould Maintenance Management teams regarding knowledge sharing, development and Lead Factory processes.
- Approve moulds ready for handover from E&M and sign off responsibility shift to production.
- Ensure that the coherence and transparency in all department is unbroken and flexibility increasing.
- Engage in the Mould Maintenance Leader team and support the overall strategic ambition
- Sustain and improve PULSE with primarily attention on Motivation, Satisfaction and ENPS.
- Initiate actions to build a good culture in Mould Maintenance so health and safety is an integrated part of our daily work.
- Drive & Track results and push for constant improvements.
- Successful implementation of new Mould Platforms and processes.
- Development of standards internally and global sharing through Lead Factory Processes.
- Fully integration of TWI to ensure standards are developed and adhered to.
- Hire and release employees according to company needs and requirements. Apply disciplinary matrix as needed.
Do you have what it takes?
- Demonstrate experience in leadership role, with high knowledge in operations areas such as production, engineering, maintenance or alike.
- Demonstrate experience in Moulding operation
- Demonstrate experience working in global company.
- Power BI, Minitab experience
- Experience in local and global collaboration and Continuous Improvement process.
- Industrial experience
- TPM, CI, 5s. Green belt certification
- English fluent level
Note This position is based at our LEGO Operaciones de Mexico manufacturing factory located in Cienega de Flores, NL This is not a remote position
