Job Summary
The Complex Consumables Proposal Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end proposal development process for complex consumables, ensuring timely submission of high-quality, competitive, and technically sound proposals to FLSmidth's customers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the coordination, development, and submission of comprehensive proposals for complex consumables, including spare parts, wear parts, and service agreements, for mining and cement industries.
  • Collaborate extensively with sales, engineering, product management, supply chain, and legal teams to gather necessary information and ensure proposal accuracy and completeness.
  • Interpret customer Request for Proposals (RFPs), Invitations to Bid (ITBs), and other solicitation documents to identify key requirements and develop a compliant proposal strategy.
  • Develop and manage proposal schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met and stakeholders are informed of progress.
  • Write and edit proposal content, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and adherence to FLSmidth's brand guidelines and technical standards.
  • Coordinate the development of technical descriptions, cost estimates, commercial terms, and legal reviews for inclusion in proposals.
  • Facilitate internal review meetings and incorporate feedback from various stakeholders to refine proposal content.
  • Maintain a repository of proposal templates, standard language, and technical content to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Track proposal outcomes, analyze win/loss rates, and provide insights for continuous improvement of the proposal process.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to enhance proposal effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mining, Chemical, or related field) or a business-related discipline with a strong technical aptitude.
  • 3-5 years of experience in proposal coordination, technical writing, project management, or sales support within an industrial or manufacturing environment, preferably in mining or cement.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex technical products or services, particularly consumables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish (required).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM or proposal management software preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of FLSmidth products and services a plus.
