Primary Purpose
The Senior Manager, ERP Product Management is responsible for leading the strategic planning, development, and ongoing enhancement of enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions that support and elevate core business operations and transformation initiatives. This role defines the product vision and strategy, ensuring ERP systems are scalable, intuitive, and aligned with organizational priorities. Acting as a critical bridge between business needs and technology capabilities, the Senior Manager ensures the ERP platform drives operational efficiency, supports growth, and fosters innovation. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in ERP systems, strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, and a product-centric mindset focused on delivering continuous improvement and measurable business value.
The Senior Manager oversees a team of product managers, providing leadership and direction to drive cross-functional collaboration, innovation, and delivery excellence. They manage the full product lifecycle, from ideation to deployment and optimization, prioritizing enhancements based on business impact and user feedback. Additionally, the role ensures ERP products meet all regulatory, cybersecurity, and operational standards, supporting compliance and risk mitigation across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
- Defines and executes the ERP product strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives and prioritizing initiatives based on business impact, user needs, and system performance. Leads the development and evolution of ERP capabilities that support core business functions such as finance, treasury, supply chain, HR and operations.
- Actively engages with clients and key stakeholders to understand business needs and shape products or services that deliver optimal value across the entire portfolio of ERP products. Maintains a well-defined set of features and initiatives to provide clear direction and alignment for product teams.
- Stay informed of emerging ERP technologies, industry trends, and best practices, providing thought leadership and recommendations that enhance the organization's digital capabilities.
- Leads strategic product delivery and stakeholder alignment by managing executive relationships to maintain a robust pipeline of initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives. Oversee the full lifecycle of major ERP initiatives, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, execution, testing, and post-implementation support, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes. Major initiatives are defined as strategic technology solutions that can be broken down into actionable components for agile execution.
- Effectively communicates the value of the product suite and associated work plans, facilitates continuous feedback loops between teams and clients, and provides performance feedback to Group Product Managers on delivered outcomes.
- Leads a large, cross-functional team by setting strategic direction, inspiring performance, and providing clear, actionable guidance. Accountable for all aspects of employee management, including goal-setting, work oversight, and performance development. This includes coaching team members, facilitating training and growth opportunities, and conducting regular evaluations to support career progression. By fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, the Senior Manager builds a high-performing team environment. Also provides hands-on leadership and mentorship to ERP product managers and product owners, promoting best practices in product development, agile execution, and stakeholder engagement. Responsible for hiring, performance management, training, and career development, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team culture.
- Budgetary responsibility. Oversees management establishes and administers the annual budgets and manage expenditures to operate within the approved budget
Education
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent relevant work experience.
- Master´s degree in the above, or MBA.
- 10+ years´ Managing solution delivery and/or enterprise architecture
- 10+ years´ ERP systems management, with at least 3 years in a leadership or product management role.
- 8 years´ Related supervisory and/or lead experience
- 3 years´ Experience working in the energy sector or with a utility.
Knowledge, Skills & Knowledge
- Excellent communication and Stakeholder Management including Executives - Ability to create and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders (including clients) in order to drive outcomes and create alignment around a vision or course of action.
- Strong understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, HR, and operations.
- Adaptability and Learning Agility - Ability to learn, adapt, unlearn, and relearn to rapidly adapt to changing business needs, processes, standards, and tools; a strong ability to prioritize and reprioritize work.
- User Experience - Strong understanding of how users interact with systems, applications, and products, with an ability to design applications and interfaces that are consumable and easy to navigate.
Licenses and Certifications
- Agile Methodologies - Knowledge of concepts, including Agile Scrum and/or Kanban, and application of Agile methodology (e.g., Lean, SAFe, LeSS) for project management to be able to design, implement and manage projects.
- Bilingual English / Spanish - Proficiency
