Software Engineer

We are seeking a Frontend Engineer to build, maintain, and scale modern frontend applications with a strong focus on performance, usability, and reliability. This role requires ownership of frontend features end to end, close collaboration with backend engineers and product teams, and the ability to translate real user needs into high-quality user interfaces.

The ideal candidate has solid experience building production React applications, is comfortable working in a startup environment with high ownership, and communicates effectively in both English and Spanish.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Build and maintain modern frontend applications using TypeScript and JavaScript, with a strong emphasis on performance, usability, and scalability.
• Develop user interfaces using React, , and Vite following modern frontend best practices.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and well-structured UI components using HTML, CSS, and Tailwind or similar frameworks.
• Own frontend features from implementation through deployment, testing, and iteration.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers to integrate APIs built in Python (Django, SQLAlchemy).
• Partner with product, customer, and internal teams to translate real user needs into reliable and intuitive UI solutions.
• Participate in design discussions, technical planning, and feature refinement to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve frontend issues, identifying root causes and contributing to long-term improvements.
• Contribute to maintaining clean, readable, and maintainable codebases.

Qualifications

• Mid-level experience building and maintaining production React applications.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frontend development patterns.
• Familiarity with tools and libraries such as Tailwind, Zod, or similar.
• Working understanding of backend concepts, including APIs, authentication, and databases.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and containerization tools such as Podman or Docker is a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Requirements

• Reside in Mexico.
• The entire hiring process must be completed from the computer you will be applying from.
• Laptop or desktop computer with a working camera.
• Device must have at least 8GB of RAM and run on an Intel Core (8th generation) or higher, with Windows 11 or higher or macOS 13 or higher.
• Internet connection of at least 20 MB download and 5 MB upload.
• Enabled and up-to-date antivirus software.
