Job Summary
The R&D Trainee will be an integral part of our research and development team, supporting innovative projects from conception to implementation within the automotive electrical systems domain. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to cutting-edge technologies.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist senior engineers in the design, development, and testing of new electrical components and systems for automotive applications.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies, materials, and processes relevant to Valeo's product portfolio.
- Participate in experimental setups, data collection, and analysis, contributing to design validation and optimization.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations detailing project progress, findings, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality, and project management, to ensure successful project execution.
- Learn and apply Valeo's R&D methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Support the continuous improvement of existing products and processes.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field. (Candidates pursuing their final year of studies with an anticipated graduation within 6-12 months will also be considered).
- Strong academic record.
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits, control systems, and embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink) is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and concepts.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; Spanish proficiency is a strong asset.
