Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated AWS QA Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our diverse and complex software solutions. You will play a critical part in our most strategic initiatives, including cloud modernization and migration projects, the development of Generative AI applications, and the enhancement of our next-generation CCaaS platform.

The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of QA methodologies, a passion for automation, and extensive hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem. You will be in charge of the entire testing lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and reporting, working closely with developers, architects, and product managers to deliver world-class products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Strategy and Planning:

• Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QA strategies and test plans for complex, multi-tiered systems hosted on AWS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, DevOps, Product) to understand project requirements and define test scope, objectives, and acceptance criteria.
• Design robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks from the ground up or by enhancing existing ones.
• Analyze requirements and architect test scenarios for cloud migrations, ensuring data integrity, application performance, and functional parity post-migration.

2. Test Design and Automation:

• Author, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, integration, regression, performance, and end-to-end testing using modern tools and frameworks (e.g., Pytest, Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Design and automate API tests for RESTful and GraphQL services using tools like Postman, REST Assured, or custom scripting.
• Integrate automated test suites into our CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline) to enable continuous testing and rapid feedback loops.
• Leverage AWS services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, S3, Device Farm) to create and manage scalable test environments and infrastructure.

3. Specialized Domain Testing:

• Generative AI:
  Design and execute test cases to evaluate the quality, accuracy, relevance, and safety of Generative AI and Large Language Model (LLM) applications. Test for prompt injection, bias, factual correctness (hallucinations), and response consistency.
• Contact Center as a Service (CCaaS):
  Create and automate complex test scenarios for our CCaaS platform, covering IVR flows, call routing logic, agent desktop functionality, real-time analytics, and integrations with CRM systems.
• Cloud Modernization & Migration:
  Develop specific test plans to validate application functionality, performance benchmarks, data integrity, and security configurations during and after migration to AWS.

4. Quality Advocacy and Reporting:

• Identify, document, and meticulously track defects to resolution using bug tracking systems like Jira.
• Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and communicate quality metrics and risks to stakeholders.
• Champion QA best practices, promote a "quality-first" culture, and participate in code and design reviews to identify potential issues early in the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a QA automation role, with a proven track record of testing complex, distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g.,
  Python
  , Java, TypeScript).
• Hands-on experience with modern test automation frameworks and tools (e.g.,
  Pytest
  , Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
• Proficiency with API testing tools and techniques (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).
• Deep understanding of core AWS services
  such as EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC, and RDS.
• Experience integrating automated tests into
  CI/CD pipelines
  (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and strong communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
• Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, Locust).
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Direct experience testing
  Generative AI/LLM applications
  and understanding their unique testing challenges.
• Experience in automation tools (any automation tool)
• Experience in the
  CCaaS, telecommunications, or contact center
  domain.
• Knowledge of security testing concepts (SAST, DAST) and tools.
