The basics:

Have at least a potential of 20+ users (to ensure the sales reps were looking for large enough opportunities). 

Have no fundamental "red flags" or deal-breakers

The BDR clearly generated (no poaching from "inbound" leads or other SDRs. 

The BDR day to day:

Own pipeline generation – Proactively identify and engage potential clients through outbound strategies (LinkedIn, email, calls, and creative outreach).
Be a Thought Challenger – Understand market/customer pain points and challenge their mindset to present how Conekta's solutions drive business impact.
Master Social Selling – Leverage LinkedIn and other platforms to build credibility, nurture relationships, and convert leads.
Think Outside the Box – Use innovative and data-driven approaches to increase conversion rates and open new business opportunities.
Collaborate with Account Executives – Qualify leads thoroughly and ensure seamless handoff to the sales team for closing.
Analyze & Optimize – Track outreach performance, test new messaging, and iterate strategies to improve conversion rates.
Become an Industry Expert – Stay up to date with fintech trends and competitive insights to educate prospects effectively.

  • Knows how to leverage CRM tools (Salesforce) and automation tools to maximize efficiency.

  • Comfortable working with data insights and KPIs to optimize lead conversion.
  • Uses A/B testing and other methodologies to refine messaging and outreach strategies.

  • Adapts quickly to changing market dynamics and is always looking for the "how" instead of excuses.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with shifting priorities.

Persuasive Communication & Storytelling

  • Ability to influence decision-makers by articulating Conekta's value proposition effectively.
  • Uses strong negotiation and consultative selling skills to engage prospects.
  • Writes compelling and personalized email sequences, LinkedIn messages, and cold call scripts.

  • Works closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to align on strategy.
  • Understands how to share insights and feedback to improve messaging and approach.

Ownership & Accountability

  • Takes full responsibility for pipeline health and quota achievement.
  • Constantly tracks personal performance and proactively seeks improvement.
  • Thrives in a role where autonomy and results-driven execution are key.

What You Need

  • We're looking for someone with a technical background, such as Computer Sciences Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar fields. 
  • Passionate about the fintech world and becoming a commercial expert
  • 1-2 years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or lead generation (preferably in fintech, SaaS, or startups).
  • Proven success in prospecting and qualifying leads.
  • Experience with social selling, CRM tools (Salesforce), and automation tools.
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • A data-driven mindset to measure and optimize performance.
