The accountant will work on the company's general accounting functions including but not limited to month and quarter-end close, preparation and analysis of financial reports, journal entries, fixed assets, leases, balance sheet reconciliation, and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of period close, required reports, and journal entries to create and support processes that meet required company deadlines.
  • Create and enter journal entries with supporting backup and file all JEs per policy.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations monthly and analyze all reconciling items on a timely basis to determine root causes and provide corrective actions.
  • Assist with SOX testing monthly, quarterly and bi-annually.
  • Prepare SOX-compliant documentation for all activities.
  • Provide support and assistance with audits (internal, SOX, tax, etc.)
  • Communicate with Accounting Managers and controllers for guidance on requests related to accounting functions, policies, and procedures.
  • Drive effective accounting solutions that improve the company's standard of excellence.
  • Other inquiries and duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
  • 0 - 2 years' experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SAP, Oracle, Power BI.
