Main Purpose
This role will be responsible to enable quality and best practices by serving as a central support for accelerated decision-making, grounded in robust, data-driven foundations. Support the execution, tracking and interpretation of analytical projects across diverse ingredient and processes categories, with emphasis on specialized measurement techniques by generating high-quality technical data, the analyst informs decisions in both Quality and R&D functions, helping to accelerate innovation, optimize efficiency, and deepen understanding of ingredient functionality and process behavior.
Main Responsibilities
- Conduct and support specialized analytical measurements (e.g., DSC, FTIR, MIR, NIR, rheology, microscopy, spectroscopy, mechanical) for ingredient, process, and packaging characterization.
- Provide scientific and technological support by investigating the root causes of quality issues across different business areas.
- Collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to design experiments, interpret results, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Document and report technical insights that contribute to decision-making in product development, process optimization, and material selection.
- Assist in the development and refinement of analytical protocols and SOPs to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings and research initiatives, contributing technical expertise and supporting innovation pipelines.
- Help build predictive models and chemometric tools to support data-driven decisions and accelerate project timelines
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced English - it's a must.
- Minimum of 2 years' background in food R&D, analytical science, or process development, ideally within the consumer packaged goods sector.
- Experience addressing quality issues, including diagnosing failure modes and applying analytical approaches to support quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Advanced knowledge of analytical and characterization methods, including FTIR, NIR, MIR, rheology, microscopy, spectroscopy, and Z-Potential analysis.
- Experience in experimental design, data interpretation, and development of descriptive and predictive mathematical models.
- Familiarity with developing, refining, and implementing analytical protocols and SOPs for consistency and reproducibility.
- Background in chemometrics and food-focused data interpretation tools for modeling, calibration, and decision support.
- Familiar with platforms such as COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB for mathematical modeling and process simulation.
- Advanced user of tools including Origin, Python, Power BI, Minitab, or R for statistical analysis and graphical representation.
