Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen and a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles. This role is critical in supporting the financial operations of our organization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and contributing to the overall financial strategy. NetSuite expereicne is a must, and mustbe able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of the ERP and monthly closing within the system.

Duties

• Maintain the general ledger accounting system, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assist in regulatory reporting, working directly with our CPA firm.
• Support the budgeting process by providing insights and analysis on financial performance.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
• Prepare financial reports for management, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP standards in all financial reporting activities.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• NetSuite experience required
• Intercompany transaction experience preferred
• Proven experience in public accounting or a similar role within a corporate finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of financial principles including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Proficiency in accounts receivable management and general ledger accounting practices.
• Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
