The back-end developer will report to the Sr. Director of Engineering, and will design, develop and maintain the data collection, verification and data operations platforms. You will also maintain and manage the AWS Cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

· Work closely with technical and scientific team members to collect technical and design requirements for data acquisition

· Develop APIs for ingestion of data from our mobile apps

· Writing code and product documentation for our growing system

· Work closely with data analysts to implement data validations and data quality standards

· Define and maintain metadata, data policies, and business data rules

El desarrollador back-end reportará al Director Senior de Ingeniería y será responsable de diseñar, desarrollar y mantener las plataformas de recolección de datos, verificación y operaciones de datos. También mantendrá y gestionará la infraestructura en la nube de AWS.

Responsabilidades clave:

· Colaborar estrechamente con los miembros técnicos y científicos del equipo para recopilar requisitos técnicos y de diseño para la adquisición de datos

· Desarrollar API para la ingesta de datos desde nuestras aplicaciones móviles

· Escribir código y documentación del producto para nuestro sistema en crecimiento

· Trabajar de cerca con analistas de datos para implementar validaciones de datos y estándares de calidad de datos

· Definir y mantener metadatos, políticas de datos y reglas de negocio de datos

Requirements:

· BS in Computer Science or equivalent

· 3+ years in-depth knowledge of Python

· Hands on experience using AWS including, not limited to: EC2, S3, CodePipeline, Lambda, RDS, Load Balancing, etc.

· Knowledge of Computer Networking including workings of TCP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS.

· Experience implementing/using REST APIs.

· Experience implementing/using API secure authentication (e.g. OAuth, JWT).

· Experience with SQL databases, preferably Postgres.

· Experience with integrating third party APIs into a codebase.

· Proficient in distributed version-control systems (e.g. git, hg)

· Experience creating ETL scripts based on data ingestion and data mapping requirements

· Experience with Docker, ECS or Kubernetes

Preferred/bonus Talents:

· Masters Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

· Experience with the Go programming language

· Experience in a regulated industry (healthcare, finance)

· Experience building highly secure systems.

· Knowledge of Javascript (front-end and server side)

Demonstrated interests in privacy/security, philanthropy and/or innovation/exploration
