Role Description

This is a full-time
remote or on-site
role for a
Lead Software Engineer
. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of scalable software solutions across Main Sequence's technology stack.

This is a
startup position
with
immense growth potential
in both responsibility and equity participation. The role is based in
Mexico City
, with the possibility of an eventual transfer to our
Vienna office
.

Important:
This is
not
a web development or support position. This role focuses on building the infrastructure and systems you've always dreamed of creating — pushing the limits of what's possible and bringing to life what doesn't yet exist.

Qualifications

  • Strong programming skills in
    Python
    , with expertise in building and maintaining robust software applications
  • Experience working with
    Django
    for backend development and web applications
  • Excellent
    cloud
    and
    DevOps
    capabilities with any of the major cloud providers
  • Proficiency with
    AWS
    ,
    Azure
    , or
    Google Cloud Platform
  • Solid problem-solving
    ,
    analytical thinking
    , and
    communication
    skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in
    Computer Science
    or equivalent relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing
    Kubernetes clusters
    and deploying scalable systems (extremely important)
  • Experience in
    financial technology
    or
    asset management
    is a plus
