Data Engineer

Location: Mexico (100% Remote)

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and data models that support enterprise retail data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working with Azure-based data solutions and modern data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines

· Build and optimize data models to support analytics and reporting

· Work extensively with Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks

· Implement and manage data storage using Delta Lake and Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS)

· Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance best practices

· Collaborate with analytics, BI, and business teams to support retail data use cases

Required Skills & Experience:

· Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks

· Expertise in ETL/ELT, SQL, and data modeling

· Experience with Delta Lake and ADLS

· Solid understanding of cloud data platforms (Azure preferred)

· Knowledge of data governance, security, and access controls

· Retail domain experience is a plus
