Position Summary: The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing small-to-medium size accounts to effectively support various customers and business needs. The Key Account Manager will be the liaison between the customer(s) business needs and the enterprise. The main role of the key account manager will be focused on retention and growth by developing strategic solutions to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
The essential functions of this role include:
- Strategically manage all aspects of the customer relationship with each assigned intergral account.
- Manage open tasks for assigned accounts to ensure deliverables are met and closure occurs on key customer initiatives.
- Serve as an escalation point on assigned accounts to address significant customer issues.
- Understand all contract and service agreement terms, addendums, etc. for assigned accounts.
- Manage assigned account statements/scope of work, and ensure all departments are operating to the contractual requirements established
- Support internal and external customer billing inquiries as requested.
- Support all Accounts Receivable efforts as required to assure assigned accounts are within payment terms.
- Responsible for the identification and implementation of customer savings in order to support contractual requirements.
- Assist with and drive for growth within the account to support overall volume and revenue.
- Cultivate creative and supportive savings plans to help the needs of the customer.
- Support and implement various retention initiatives for account longevity.
- Support various projects affiliated with the account, such as: new business implementation, recruitment efforts, and training.
- Work cross-functionally with the Sales Team to help develop new business opportunities.
Education & Experience:
- The ideal candidate preferably will have a Degree and/or two (3) years of similar experience;
- Experience in the field of logistics and supply chain;
- Strong command of various functions within Microsoft Excel;
- Strong problem-solving skills;
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and agreements, operating procedures, etc.;
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence;
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This role does not provide direct supervision to direct reports.Travel:
0-25%
Language Skills:
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and speak fluently in English.
Physical Demands:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; and
