Role Objective

Develop and maintain scalable data integration and backend solutions within a fintech environment, ensuring secure, reliable, and high-quality data flows across internal systems and external financial partners through ETL processes and API integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines to process financial and operational data.
  • Build, enhance, and support data workflows using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
  • Develop and maintain backend services using Python and Java APIs (Spring / Spring Boot).
  • Integrate and consume REST APIs from banks, payment providers, credit bureaus, and third-party vendors.
  • Design, optimize, and maintain SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) ensuring data accuracy and performance.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and traceability, critical for financial reporting and decision-making.
  • Apply best practices for system integration, error handling, logging, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with Product, Risk, Finance, and Analytics teams to support data-driven initiatives.
  • Document data flows, integrations, and technical designs to support audits and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Experience (Must Have)

  • Strong experience designing and maintaining ETL processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SSIS.
  • Backend development experience using Python.
  • Experience building Java APIs with Spring / Spring Boot.
  • Solid knowledge of SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Proven experience consuming and integrating REST APIs, ideally in high-volume or transactional environments.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience working in fintech, banking, or data-intensive environments.
  • Knowledge of Docker and containerized applications.
  • Experience with Linux environments.
  • Familiarity with automated pipelines / CI/CD.
  • Experience with container management and deployment workflows.
  • Understanding of security, data governance, and compliance considerations in financial systems.
