Job Description: Security Systems Specialist (Mexico)

Position Overview: We are seeking qualified and experienced Security Systems Specialist to join our team in Mexico. As a Security Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security systems and technologies, ensuring the safety and protection of our assets. You will collaborate closely with internal customers, project managers, and other team members to deliver high-quality security solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional service.

    • Install and configure security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and video surveillance equipment, following manufacturer guidelines, Corning standards and industry best practices.
  • Conduct site surveys to determine suitable locations for security system installation and identify any potential obstacles or challenges.

  • Ensure the proper operation and functionality of security equipment, regularly performing system maintenance checks, upgrades, and software updates.

  • Respond promptly to service requests, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to security systems to minimize downtime and maximize client satisfaction.

  • Provide training to end-users on security system operation, assisting them in understanding the features and functionality.

  • Collaborate with the project team to develop comprehensive security solutions, assisting in designing system layouts, establishing equipment requirements, and estimating project costs.

  • Conduct system tests and performance evaluations to verify that security systems are functioning correctly, identifying, and resolving any inconsistencies or malfunctions.

  • Keep up to date with the latest advancements in security technology and industry trends.

  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, service requests, and completed installations, ensuring all documentation is properly recorded and filed.

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installations and maintenance activities to minimize risks to personnel and property.

  • Proven experience as a Security Systems Specialist or similar role within the security industry.

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of various security technologies, including CCTV systems, access control systems, intrusion alarms, and video surveillance equipment.

  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and protocols, including TCP/IP, routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate and communicate with vendors, team members, and stakeholders.

  • Physical fitness and ability to work in potentially challenging environments (e.g., heights, confined spaces) during installations.

  • Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering high-quality workmanship.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities, meeting deadlines and achieving project goals.

  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to between local sites as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field

  • Experience as a security systems administrator, project manager, or in a similar role.

  • Knowledge of security systems, protocols, and standards such as access control, CCTV, visitor management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPN, two-factor authentication, and encryption methods.

  • Project management skills with experience in planning, scheduling, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify security risks and develop appropriate solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

  • Proficient in MS Windows systems administration / applications like XLS, DOC, PPT, and Adobe Pro.

  • Strong command of English language.

  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) are preferred.

  • Lenel S2 certification.

  • ExacqVision systems experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of Power-Bi and CAD/Blue Beam.
