LOGISTIC SPECIALIST MATERIAL PLANNING

Location El Salto, Jalisco

YOUR TASKS

Job Objective

Checking complex requirement notices regarding the quantities, dates and descriptions with the support of the
system in clearly defined contexts. Planning, controlling and monitoring complex deliveries of a comprehensive range of purchased parts according to requirements and schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities

A Material Planning
  1. Checking complex requirement notices regarding the quantities, dates and descriptions with the support of the system.
  2. Defining and guaranteeing economical order quantities according to given planning rules.
  3. Updating logistics material master data, taking into account defined targets (e.g. safety stock level) for
    purchased parts in agreement with internal posts.
  4. Checking safety stock levels, batch sizes, lead times and correcting the stored data.
  5. Responsibility for the stock levels of a complex parts spectrum.
  6. Involvement in the optimization of the supply chain within the context of departmental specifications.
  7. Carrying out complex stock management for a restricted area of responsibility.
  8. Taking part in or carrying out coordination meetings with internal posts.
  9. Planning, controlling and monitoring complex deliveries of a comprehensive range of purchased parts according to requirements and schedule.
  10. Controlling and monitoring component allocation for external production, considering the required quantity
    and time.
  11. Central contact person for material planning processes and logistical supplier management in the plant.
  12. Execution of training measures and knowledge transfer of standardized material planning processes to the purchase parts planner and supervisors in the plant.
  13. Creation of regular analyzes of material master data, incl. stock values and stock ranges, corrections
    according to standard specifications.
  14. Measurement and monitoring to achieve targets.
  15. First level support for purchase parts planner in plant.
  16. Triggering orders and deadline inquiries.
  17. Monitoring delivery dates (deadline follow-up, guarantee), involving the internal posts responsible.

In difficult deadline situations, initiating escalation if necessary

  1. Preparing complex solution measures in the event of supply bottlenecks in cooperation with internal posts,
    suppliers and the superior if necessary.
  2. Checking incoming order confirmations, clarifying differences in agreement with internal posts and supplier.
  3. Coordinating complex on-schedule provision of parts and/or materials between the suppliers and internal
    posts, as well as monitoring the provision, consumption and return of the provided parts for external production if appropriate.
  4. Processing the incoming goods journal, clarification in the event of excess deliveries or changes in schedule, whether value data or return, initiating logistic escalation if necessary.
  5. System-related set-up and permanent monitoring of supplier consignment stores.
  6. Preparing and carrying out logistics-supplier meetings with regard to deadline and quantity problems, as
    well as involvement in respective supplier evaluations.
  7. Processing differences in invoices (quantity differences) on the accounts payable side.
  8. Monitoring Kanban control loops incl. determining all the necessary master and movement data with the
    aim of realizing the prescribed availability at low stock levels.
  9. Taking over planning responsibility for items before SOP.
  10. Involvement in projects concerning process changes, participating in sourcing committees and
    guaranteeing implementation according to the derived measures.
  11. Monitoring and being responsible for the stocktaking of the materials provided by suppliers.
  12. Training and support of the purchase parts planner to fulfill the required tasks according to work routines.
  13. First level support for purchase parts planner in plant and central contact for material planning processes
    and logistics supplier management.
  14. Regular analyzes and, if necessary, corrections of scheduling relevant master data for the procurement of
    materials.
  15. Analyze potential for optimization in procurement processes and start the realization by taking into account
    the standard processes.
  16. Support the project team in the I2P phase regarding the material planning processes.
  17. Responsibility for specifying and implementing system-based change requests, especially executing requirement gathering, gap analysis, testing, user training, application documentation.
  18. Documentation and configuration of material planning related SAP modules to meet business requirements.

B Project Management

  1. Support the management of logistics projects from technical and organizational perspective incl. rollout
    and sustainable implementation of corporate standard processes.
  2. Defining, planning, coordinating and monitoring tasks within project teams by using defined methods and
    systems.
  3. Preparing and further development of concepts for improving recording, analysis, modeling, presentation and management of process-related data.
  4. Supporting the negotiations of general logistics conditions with suppliers, service providers and customers (e.g. JIT/JIS processes, turnaround periods, packaging).
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Experience:

  1. 1+ years of experience in similar positions. 
  2. SAP knowledge. 
  3. Supply chain knowledge.

Responsibilities:

  1. Defining and guaranteeing economical order quantities according to given planning rules.
  2. Controlling and monitoring component allocation for external production, considering the required quantity
    and time.
  3. Checking incoming order confirmations, clarifying differences in agreement with internal posts and supplier.
