Position Summary:  

The Field Support Engineer is responsible for providing on-site and remote technical support for data centers cooling and refrigeration technologies including its instrumentation systems, controls and Building Management System (BMS) communication interfaces. This role ensures optimal performance, integration, and troubleshooting of field devices and control systems across customer sites.

Essentials duties and responsibilities:     

Start-up, configure, and commission DCT cooling equipment including its instrumentation, control and BMS communication systems.

Oversee clients cooling systems installations.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software and product issues for DCT cooling products related to field devices and control systems.

Provide technical support and training to customers and internal teams.

Provide operational support and manage emergency calls.

Serve as the primary contact between US-based engineering teams and local operations.

Elaborate detailed work instructions.

Support with technical translations of manuals, procedures, HIM and documents from English to Portuguese

Validate and implement controller upgrades with US Engineering teams.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams to improve system reliability and performance.

Document service activities, technical issues, and resolutions in service reports and CRM systems if required.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during field operations.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and feedback loops for product development.

Required Education and Qualifications:     

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechanical or related field.

3+ years of experience in field service or technical support roles, preferably in instrumentation and BMS environments.

Strong knowledge of industrial instrumentation (sensors, transmitters, controllers).

Experience with HVAC-R systems and energy management solutions.

Proficiency in BMS protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus).

Familiarity with PLCs, PIDs and control networks.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and customer service orientation.

MS Office programs

Additional Comments: 

Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites

English desirable

Willingness to adapt to high security measurements required by clients
