About the Opportunity:

Ellucian is seeking a curious and motivated Engineering Intern to join our Agile development teams as we build scalable, cloud-based SaaS solutions that power the future of higher education.

What You'll Do

• Learn and Contribute: Support the design and development of SaaS applications and services, contributing to coding, testing, and documentation with guidance from senior team members.
• Hands-on with Tools: Gain exposure to front-end and back-end development, APIs, and cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Shadow DevOps Practices: Observe and assist with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and infrastructure-as-code basics.
• Code Quality: Learn how to write clean, maintainable code and contribute simple features, bug fixes, or tests.
• Problem-Solving: Practice debugging and troubleshooting by helping analyze issues and working through solutions alongside your mentor.
• AI in Action: Experiment with AI-assisted tools to streamline coding, testing, and documentation tasks.
• Agile Experience: Participate in Agile ceremonies—such as sprint planning and retrospectives—to see how collaborative software development happens day to day.

What You'll Bring

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Coursework or personal projects involving programming in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java, or C#.
• Basic understanding of programming fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
• Curiosity about web development, APIs, databases, or cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with Git or other version control systems is helpful, but not required.
• Enthusiasm for learning, openness to feedback, and a collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Previous academic or personal project experience with React, REST/GraphQL APIs, or databases.
