The role:
The
Maintenance Planner
will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing maintenance. This role ensures all equipment maintenance, inspections, and service tasks are carried out efficiently to maximize uptime and support operational excellence. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills and a solid understanding of maintenance systems, equipment lifecycle, and warranty management.

- Develop and implement maintenance plans, work orders, and schedules, considering regulatory compliance, safety standards, and operational needs.
- Verify resources, material, parts, contract services availability prior to scheduling maintenance work. Develop and apply reasonable schedule logic and constraints to weekly schedule.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including documentation of corrective actions.
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by overseeing and arranging regular stock checks and daily cycle counts.
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse Material handling Equipment (MHE). Collaborate with supplier to coordinate on all servicing and repairing tasks to ensure without any impact on warehouse activities.
- Coordinating reports from maintenance technicians and using information to develop system-wide and location and/or equipment maintenance plans.
- Ensure critical spares and parts are available to support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Developing standard maintenance procedures to adhere to regulatory requirements and equipment standards and company policies.
- Manage materials, labor, and outside vendor services to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks while minimizing costs.
- Interface with field personnel and supervisors to gather feedback and adjust schedules as needed.
- Identify root causes of issues, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Create and distribute Equipment Damage Reports.
- Assist with development of KPI's and produce reports on schedule compliance, with emphasis in maintenance/inspection regulatory compliance. This will include analysis of deviations, variations, and trends with graphical representations.
- Support field execution, resolve constraints, and recommend procedure/training updates.
- Collaborate with supply chain and warehouse teams to maintain accurate inventory levels and forecast usage.
- Manage and facilitate coordination meetings with other departments and contractors to ensure resource availability and timing of execution is optimized.
- Conducting site inspections to determine maintenance requirements and scopes of work for specific maintenance projects.
- Prioritize work orders based on the work to be performed and the associated risk. Ensures accurate, achievable completion dates are a key focus.
- Conduct and support technicians leading pre-job briefings, site walkdowns, and post-job debriefs to align expectations and capture lessons learned
- Enforce proper use of LOTO, work permits, JSAs, and safety-critical procedures during all field tasks. Act as a champion for Personnel Safety Management System (PSMS).
- The activities mentioned above are illustrative but not limited because they may be required for other tasks according to the needs of the organization.
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical maintenance supervision (preferred).
- 7–10 years of experience in LNG terminals, power plants, or chemical manufacturing facilities.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as IFS, Fiix, eMaint, or similar.
- Experience in LNG facilities, including cryogenic refrigeration, gas processing, and steam systems (preferred).
- Direct, hands-on experience with GE gas turbines and centrifugal compressors (preferred).
- Knowledge of LNG operations, maintenance, and safety for LNG and power plant facilities.
- Project management experience.
- Strong knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM).
- Knowledge of NOM-010-ASEA regulations.
- Experience in spare parts and inventory management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain a strong team-oriented work environment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Smartsheet.
- Strong ability to meet and exceed performance objectives.
- Advanced ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
- Professional proficiency in the English language.
