Role Summary

The Motorman is responsible for assisting the operation, maintenance, and routine inspection of mechanical equipment and systems onboard the rig. This includes diesel engines, pumps, compressors, generators, and other machinery essential to rig operations. The Motorman ensures all equipment is functioning efficiently and safely, performs preventative maintenance, and assists in repairs under the supervision of the Senior Mechanic.

Job Specific Responsibilities


• Safe and efficient execution of maintenance and repair activities.

• Continuous monitoring of power consumption and distribution.

• All drills and checks are conducted as required. 


• All applicable reports and logs as required by direct supervisor are maintained.

• The engine room is maintained tidy and in good working order.

• Thorough handovers are provided at each daily change of shift.

• Check and record lubrication oil level reading, topping up as required.

• Monitor all engine room systems for leaks and anomalies reporting defects 
immediately.

Qualifications

Preferably a bachelor's degree: High school degree or any equivalent.
Years of experience: 3 years' experience in Oil Drilling related, preferably 1 year in the 
position.


Skills/abilities: 


Computer skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and as a team player.
Fluent English desirable
