The Role
We're hiring a Paid Media Video Editor whose primary focus is creating ads that convert.
Your main goal is to take raw footage (UGC, product clips, internal shoots) and turn it into scroll-stopping, conversion-driven video ads for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. We don't need cinematic edits — we need clear, smart, persuasive videos that make people click "Buy."
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who moves fast, understands selling through video, and thrives in a startup environment where creative output directly impacts revenue.
What You'll Do
Paid Ad Content
- Make Video Ads: You will create vertical videos (the kind that fit on a phone screen) for Instagram, Facebook, Meta & TikTok.
- Create "Hooks": The first 3 seconds of a video are the most important. You need to make beginnings that grab attention right away.
- Create multiple variations by testing hooks, pacing, and CTAs.
- Tell a Story: You will edit videos that show a problem (like hair getting tangled) and show our sunglasses as the solution.
- Optimize for attention, retention, and conversion — not just aesthetics.
- Use Our Clips: We will give you videos from our customers and our team. You will mix them together to make something new.
Speed & Execution
- Work fast and prioritize execution over perfection.
- Produce multiple ad variations in short timeframes.
- Implement feedback quickly so ads can go live and scale
Supporting Content (Secondary)
- Website Video Content: Create short-form product videos for our Shopify site to improve conversion rates.
- Organic Content Editing: turn raw footage from product shoots, influencers, and our internal team into high-quality content for TikTok, IG Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
- Add captions, effects, trending sounds, transitions, text overlays, and branded elements.
- Collaborate closely with our Social Media Manager to stay aligned with trends and platform goals.
- Continuously test, iterate, and improve content performance.
What We're Looking For:
- You understand social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) and what performs on well each.
- You think like a seller and marketer, not just an editor.
- You can turn raw clips into ads that actually convert.
- You know the goal is to sell sunglasses, not just make things look pretty.
- You keep edits simple, clear, and message-driven.
- You're organized, follow instructions, and deliver on time (usually within 2–3 days).
- You're scrappy, proactive, and don't wait to be told exactly what to do.
- You're comfortable working with performance feedback and iterating quickly.
Must Have Qualifications:
- Portfolio with paid social ads or high-performing short-form videos (fashion, beauty, or eCommerce preferred).
- Strong skills in CapCut, Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar.
- Clear understanding of hooks, pacing, on-screen text, and storytelling for ads.
- Ability to pick the best 10–15 seconds from longer footage.
- Experience adding clear, readable on-screen text that drives action.
- Familiarity with U.S. culture, trends, and consumer behavior.
- KPI-driven mindset and comfort working toward performance goals.
- Strong understanding of U.S. culture, digital trends, and influencer behavior.
- Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback — no ego.
- Ability to suggest lighting, framing, or direction improvements during shoots
- Ability to work quickly, pivot often, and thrive under pressure.

Monday–Friday
Part time - 20h to 25h
