Cloud Full Stack Engineer

Monthly Compensation: USD 6,800 | 6-Month Contract | Remote | Nearshore Role – Mexico Preferred

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Full Stack Engineer to support the architecture, development, and delivery of large-scale cloud-native applications. This remote nearshore role is ideal for senior engineers based in Mexico who excel in complex cloud environments and bring strong technical leadership across the full development lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in cloud-native architectures, full-stack development, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the full software development lifecycle.
  • Mentor engineering team members, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices.
  • Lead technical discussions, support architectural decision-making, and align cross-functional teams.
  • Collaborate with cloud engineering teams to design and build cloud-native services.
  • Maintain and optimize DevOps processes, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.
  • Support application modernization initiatives, including refactoring legacy systems into cloud-based architectures.
  • Partner with technology vendors and stay informed of cloud ecosystem evolution.
  • Contribute to an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.
  • Perform additional duties to support development and cloud operations.

Required Qualifications

  • AWS Certification (Solutions Architect Associate, Developer, or DevOps), plus additional cloud certifications (GCP or Azure).
  • 5+ years designing and developing full-stack solutions using Jenkins, Git, GitLab, and CI/CD tools.
  • 5+ years backend API and application development using Java, Go, or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • 5+ years web development experience with HTML, CSS, React, , TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of serverless cloud technologies: AWS S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge.

Preferred Experience

  • Cloud database services: RDS, DynamoDB, DocumentDB.
  • Containerization and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS/EKS/Fargate.
  • Cloud build and deployment tools: Serverless Framework, AWS SAM, GitLab CI/CD.
  • Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation, AWS CDK, Terraform, Serverless.
  • Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure: VPC, EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, IAM, CloudWatch.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Candidates with strong equivalent experience are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

  • USD 6,800 per month
  • Full-time remote role
  • 6-month contract
