General Purpose of Job:
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and people-focused Operations Lead, Mexico to oversee the Rise Mexico City office. This role is responsible for improving operational excellence, workforce strategy, office culture and driving client growth while serving as the key connection between Mexico-based employees and U.S. leadership.
The ideal candidate will lead agency operations across media planning, buying, strategy, supporting U.S.-based media activities, and collaborate with Agency leadership on workforce strategies, and bring employees together across both our shared services and agency teams to create a cohesive and engaged workplace. In addition, this ideal candidate will foster collaboration, innovation, and a high-performance workplace.
Location: Mexico City, 3 days in office; Applicants must hold Mexican citizenship
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership, Operations & Workforce Strategy
- Provide strategic direction and leadership to the Mexico office, ensuring alignment with U.S. and regional goals.
- Partner with the Global Operations Leader to drive workforce strategies, operational efficiency, and process improvements.
- Oversee office facilities and logistics, ensuring a professional, functional, and welcoming environment.
- Manage vendor relationships, office technology needs, and local administration.
- Foster a strong connection between shared services and agency teams, ensuring collaboration and integration.
- Support onboarding and talent development, ensuring employees are set up for success.
Culture & Employee Engagement
- Foster an inclusive, innovative, and high-performance workplace culture.
- Act as a bridge between Mexico-based employees and US leadership, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
- Bring together employees from both shared services and agency teams to promote collaboration and a strong sense of community.
- Organize local events, team-building activities, and recognition programs to strengthen company culture.
Business & Client Leadership
- Oversee media planning, activation and execution teams in Mexico who will partner with US-based teams to maintain service excellence and client satisfaction.
- Ensure alignment with media strategies and business objectives. And ensure teams are working towards those goals and objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to both U.S. teams to provide insights and strategic guidance.
- Stay ahead of emerging media channels (Connected TV, mobile streaming, AI-driven advertising, AVOD) to offer cutting-edge solutions.
- Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand positioning.
Employee Support & Communication
- Act as a trusted resource for employees, addressing workplace needs and escalating issues as necessary.
- Facilitate clear and consistent communication between Mexico-based employees, shared services, agency teams, and US leadership.
- Partner with HR and leadership to ensure local employees understand company policies, procedures, and initiatives.
Office Operations & Administration
- Oversee office facilities, ensuring a professional, functional, and welcoming environment.
- Manage vendor relationships, including maintenance, security, and supplies.
- Handle office logistics, including seating arrangements, supplies management, and technology coordination.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for office-related concerns and provide solutions to enhance efficiency.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- Bilingual (Spanish & English) proficiency required.
Experience:
- 10-15+ years of leadership experience in a media agency or related industry.
- Proven expertise in media planning, buying, strategy, and operations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong experience managing agency operations, workforce strategy, and culture-building initiatives to bring together cross-functional teams, foster collaboration and engagement.
- Experience working with U.S. and Latin American markets is highly preferred.
