At Eni / Versalis, we are looking for an Operations Manager within Versalis Mexico in Villahermosa. You will be the primary reference for all Versalis customers and ultimately responsible for the Versalis Mexico field chemicals business, covering both operational support (plant start ups, new product field trials, assessing the performance of chemical treatments, assessing the performance of sub-contractors) as well as business development responsibilities. You will report to the Specialty Oilfield Chemicals Unit Manager.

Main responsibilities:

• Supervise chemical treatments and associated services/resources for Versalis clients.
• Manage service requests with subcontractors and coordinating their activities accordingly.
• Be the direct interface with Versalis customers across the region, managing queries related to technical questions, product performance issues, price quotes, contracts, and logistics.
• Develop and execute a territory sales plan with the objective of achieving the annual sales targets for defined accounts across the territory.
• Identify additional sales opportunities with existing accounts as well as develop new customers to achieve business growth objectives.
• Attend trade shows and industry events with the view to gather data on market trends, competitors and prices, in order to propose strategic changes to allow for long-term growth.
• Support management in ensuring that all operations are managed in accordance with company compliance and applicable regulations.

Skills and experience required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in business development within the upstream Oil & Gas sector, specifically covering upstream chemicals and chemical treatment processes.
• Strong knowledge of chemical treatments across the region.
• Experience in B2B sales and strategic sales analysis.
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Fluent level of Spanish and English. (Knowledge of Italian would be a plus).
• Strong negotiation skills, able to close deals.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
