This Quality Engineer is responsible for developing strategies to prevent defects and scrap through data analysis and for leading multidisciplinary teams capable of taking action based on TEOA Lean methodologies to determine the risks of each operation.

Daily Activities:

  • Internal, Dock Audit, and External rejection reports and data entry in PIMs for assigned areas.

  • Follow-up on internal rejections, ensuring containment process and failure analysis are carried out.

  • Daily follow-up on External Fast Response, Dock Audit, and Internal issues, as well as QCPC actions.

  • Daily communication of Quality results in PIM 1-2.

  • Support and follow-up on QCPC process failure analysis and Action Plans.

  • Scrap follow-up for assigned areas.

  • Training inspection personnel on measurement methods, documentation, blueprint reading, and Q-notifications.

  • Daily coordination and follow-up of control level meetings in assigned areas.

  • System follow-up and maintenance regarding PMC-SW.

  • Daily audits of personnel for top LT—verification of compliance with basic quality standards.

Periodic Activities:

  • Failure analysis and PPSR development with the team for External and Dock Audit rejections.

  • Follow-up and disposition of materials on HOLD.

  • QCPC data analysis with Engineering team for Action Plan development.

  • Lead weekly meetings with Engineering and Production teams to present Quality data.

  • Weekly presentation of Fast Response for External, Dock Audit, and Internal rejections.

  • Calculation of inspection capacity in areas based on workload increase or decrease.

  • Follow-up on reporting system for sellable material (Confirmations).

  • Scrap reports for assigned areas.

  • Evaluation and approval of process document modifications.

Occasional Activities:

  • Monthly reports for assigned areas: PPMs, Action Plans, Top Offenders.

  • Support for RTD Quality Projects.

  • Support for implementation of TEOA tools in assigned areas related to Quality.

  • Define internal goals per LT for assigned areas based on general area and plant targets.
