Engineer II, Quality Systems

This role is within Chamberlain Group's Nogales Quality and Compliance group. A successful incumbent is expected (i) to develop and sustain the Quality Management System (ISO 9001) in line with the required industry standards, accreditation requirements and business requirements across the organization through existing and new procedures. (ii) Regulate, control and improve the quality of all processes throughout the business and the final product. (iii) Manage the audit program to ensure that all nonconformities raised against customer audits or certification bodies during audits are effectively corrected and independently verified. Embed a culture of continuous improvement throughout the company. Requires 3+ years of experience in manufacturing processes or Quality Engineering and a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics).

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with the ISO 9001 standard
  • Implement all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Conduct internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with QMS requirements and identify areas for improvement
  • Assesses accuracy of detailed information of own work and others
  • Analyzes ambiguous problems and drive RCA and ensure corrective/preventive actions for non-conformities found during QMS audits
  • Facilitate external certification assessment for ISO 9001 and customer audits by organizing and overseeing the certification process
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and resolve quality issues
  • Provide training to employees on QMS requirements and quality standards
  • Undertake regular internal and process audits of the QMS
  • Develop, implement and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility and review and assess ongoing performance
  • Contribute to strategic decisions, consider implications of decisions and recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain quality risk management policies, processes and procedures to support QMS implementation and improvement. Undertake quality risk assessments and maintain and update the Risk Register
  • Implement new programs for QMS effectiveness and results. Lead rigorous process and / or service improvement plans
  • Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
  • Protect Chamberlain Group's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electronics)

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing processes or Quality Engineering
  • A detailed understanding of ISO TS16949, ISO14001 / / OHAS 18001 would be advantageous)
  • Quality Management System Auditing experience and managing audit programs
  • Strong understanding of ISO requirements and quality management principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
