Essential Responsibilities

  • Build relationships. Serving as the primary engagement point between the business leadership team and IT; nurturing key business relationships to build trust, credibility and rapport to enable effective communications and collaboration between IT and the Business
  • Understand business needs. Partnering with business, Product and technology representatives to understand business strategies, priorities, and needs and correspondingly IT's ability to deliver solutions for those needs. Additionally, assist in extracting the business benefits/value associated with desired IT investments (quantifiable and qualitative measurements of success). Define the high-level requirements to achieve the prioritized business objectives using IT services
  • Be Accountable for Technology delivery for the LATAM Business, driving demand intake and roadmap execution in shared and owned platform teams. Be accountable for LATAM region Programs which involve multiple technology platforms.
  • Support Regulatory Technology Governance for the LATAM Business with reporting, strategy alignment and other activity supporting regulatory and JV parties. Align with supporting Technology functions (e.g. Security, Operations, IT Risk, etc.)
  • Own success and drive expected outcomes. Chair/Participate in Governance committees, to ensure overall execution and delivery of the project portfolios and capability roadmap realization, and measure the quality and business value of IT investments to ensure business owner satisfaction
  • Lead a team of change professionals who deliver technology projects for the LATAM region. Responsible for Business Partner roles across Mexico and Chile
  • Proactively innovate. Partner with technology leaders to proactively identify technology innovations that align with forward-looking business needs/priorities
  • Drives Innovative Business Improvements. Develops new insights into solutions that result in organizational improvements; promotes an engagement model that fosters creative thinking and innovation
  • Delivers Results. Focuses on the critical objectives that add the most value and channels own and others' energy to consistently deliver results that meet or exceed expectations

  • Drives Continuous improvement. Relentlessly seeks, shares and adopts ideas and best practices in and outside the Company and embraces change introduced by others

  • Responsible for functional teams:

  • Vendor Relation - Managing project delivery and certification services by payment processor partner

  • Client Support - Serving enterprise clients with ongoing migration and integration events. Responsible for Level 2 client support
  • Local Region Business Support - partnering with local business leaders between Mexico and Chile

Technical Skills

  • Business Partner Knowledge: Knowledge of Payments Industry: industry trends and competitive pressures, strategies and plans, organizational structure, decision-making process, contacts, technology infrastructure and systems.
  • IT Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the key directional trends and emerging technologies in the IT industry.
  • Program Management: Ability to provide oversight and management to synthesize/bring synergy to multiple initiatives by establishing courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently, adjusting priorities, establishing management routines to effectively track progress and identify issues; removing barriers and leveraging resources
  • People Management: Leadership and motivational skills to hire and manage a talented team
  • Project Budgeting: Knowledge of project budgeting procedures required. Includes financial forecasting and preparation of necessary documents (e.g. Business Cases, etc.)
  • Value Proposition: Knowledge of procedures used to demonstrate the benefits (e.g., financial) of an IT solution

Qualifications/ KSAs

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in project and program management
  • Payments Industry Knowledge is preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly understand the business' direction and pivot accordingly
  • Displays sense of urgency especially on high priority items
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
