TripleTen is a service that empowers individuals, regardless of their prior experience, to embark on the exciting and challenging journey of mastering tech professions. Our bootcamps focus on training students in software engineering, data science, business intelligence analytics, and QA engineering in a feasible and accessible way, ultimately leading them to thrive in a new career.
Instructors serve as seasoned professionals and subject matter experts Instructors help new students—who just started one of the programs without any previous experience in tech go through the beginner material and the first few sprints. The primary goal is to guide, support and motivate new students to the point where they feel confident with the material. Together with other team members, you will be communicating with students on a daily basis, mostly through video calls (group and individual) and direct messages and assessing their projects. You will need to help students with very different requests. Questions will range from navigating the platform and software tools (GitHub, VS Code, Figma) to writing code, starting to work on a project, completing simple platform tasks. You'll be able to share your own lifehacks, learning and work experience during these conversations.
What you will do- Host daily group and 1:1 sessions in Zoom to support students with a variety of questions. These sessions also offer space for informal communication and quick questions, and may require light moderation.
- Conduct and plan 1:1 video sessions with individual students. In these meetings, you'll explain material verbally, help students work through complex tasks, and support project preparation.
- Communicate with students via text messages answering their questions or proactively reaching out based on requests from the support team or learning coaches. In some cases, you may need to maintain regular contact with specific students.
- Review student projects and provide constructive feedback based on predefined criteria, helping them understand mistakes and improve their work for future submissions.
- Must be consistently available during your assigned shift (8 hours per day, 5 days a week), including hosting Zoom sessions and supporting students in real time.
- Must be willing to work Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM EST,
- You possess a good level of spoken and written English
- You are careful with communication, can structure your thoughts, provide constructive feedback in an empathetic way, and love helping people
- You have 3+ years of the experience in Software Engineering
- You are skilled in in HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript, React, Node + Express
