Job Title: Network Engineer
Location: Singapore

Reports To: IT Manager / Network Operations Manager
Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to join our IT team in Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and secure operation of our internal and external network services. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of networking protocols, hardware, and security practices, with the ability to manage and optimize network performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Design & Implementation
: Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure solutions (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.) to meet business needs while ensuring high availability and scalability. - Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting
: Monitor network performance and security, quickly identifying and resolving issues related to connectivity, performance, or security breaches. - Network Configuration
: Configure and maintain network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points) and ensure their optimal operation. - Network Security
: Implement and manage network security protocols, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and VPNs to protect the network from threats and vulnerabilities. - Performance Optimization
: Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and efficient data transfer across the network. - Support & Maintenance
: Provide technical support for network-related issues, troubleshooting network faults, and resolving incidents in a timely manner. - Documentation
: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and documentation to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance. - Collaboration
: Work closely with other IT teams, including systems and security engineers, to ensure network infrastructure supports business requirements and goals. - Vendor Management
: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the procurement and maintenance of network equipment and services. - Upgrades & Scaling
: Plan and execute network upgrades and expansions, ensuring that the network scales to meet increasing demands.
Qualifications:
- Education
: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, or a related field. - Experience
: At least 3 years of experience in network engineering, network administration, or related roles. Technical Skills
:Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc.) and routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
Familiarity with network security technologies and practices, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools.
Certifications
:Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar networking certification is highly preferred.
Additional certifications in network security (e.g., CCNP, CompTIA Network+) are a plus.

: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve network-related issues quickly.- Communication Skills
