Position Summary

Responsible for the continuous improvement of the plant's manufacturing processes, developing and documenting new processes, developing and documenting necessary tools in the process, creating FMEA processes, supporting the production team and leading high-performance teams. The position serves as a leader in machining processes, as well as a leader of the maintenance team.

The position is responsible for the purchase of machinery and equipment necessary for the establishment of the division's machining area, hiring and training of necessary personnel, as well as the establishment of new processes as required within the division's strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Leading pilot runs for PPAP documentation (prototypes)
  • Designing, implementing, and controlling different tools and equipment for the manufacturing process.
  • Documenting manufacturing processes
  • Creation and review of FMEA's.
  • Cell capacity analysis.
  • Six Sigma, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement Projects for TIBs
  • Proposals for engineering changes.
  • Document control
  • Preparation of reports on production (standards), utilization, efficiencies, etc.
  • Reorganization and standardization of manufacturing cells, applying knowledge of industrial engineering and safety.
  • Generation of CNC programs, honing, grinding, as well as others required in general machining processes for turned parts, blocks, etc.
  • Start-up of Division equipment (CNC, honing machine, grinding machines, lathes, test benches, and everything required for a machining, assembly, and product testing environment).
  • Manage Safety Gensuite (ensure that safety findings are closed and that actions eliminate risk)
  • Develop Layer Audits to ensure the proper functioning of existing systems (quality, security, etc.)
  • Industrial Maintenance and Automation Leader in the Machining Area

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or similar
  • Master's degree in productivity and quality desirable
  • Lean Six Sigma
  • 5 years of engineering
  • Knowledge of Okuma, Sunnen, Acubore, Hass, and other similar control systems.
  • Programming in Edgcam, Mastercam
  • Design and redesign of processes
  • Fluent English
