Purpose:

  • Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of AutoCad, Illustrator,
  • Minitab or other statistical tool, Lean Six Sigma and project management tools preferred.
  • Fluent English (written & Oral)
  • High level of leadership, communication skills, presentation skills
  • Strong personality and can work under pressure
  • A problem-solver and willing to take up new challenges
  • Good working knowledge of product development
  • Good problem solving skills and teamwork attitude, initiative and hardworking
  • Cost calculation skills, test runs and verification of the products
  • Other related duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Engineer II: Over 4 years of experience in a similar position and ISO knowledge preferable.

Responsibilities

  • Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout,
  • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished-product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming and validating manufacturing processes
  • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
  • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Data Statistical anlysis for decision making.
  • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
  • Lead manufacturing projects related to their areas using GMP as Timeline, Gantt charts, project charter, follow up meetings, communication plans as needed.
  • Create and keep up to date work instructions and BOM & Routings
  • Development of 8SPS as a tool for analysis and problem solving as well as in the continuous improvement of its processes.
