Catering to companies of all sizes and industries, including some of the world's largest brands, Sonatafy Technology is a trusted provider of nearshore enterprise-level cloud and mobile application software development services.We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Mobile QA Engineer with hands-on experience in automated testing for web and mobile applications, particularly using Appium and Webdriver IO.

You will be part of a collaborative engineering team focused on ensuring product quality through robust test automation and efficient QA practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications using WebdriverIO and Appium as primary testing tools.Execute end-to-end, functional, and regression testing across iOS, Android, and web platforms, ensuring high test coverage.Identify, document, and track defects clearly and accurately, collaborating closely with developers for efficient resolution.Work with developers, product owners, and designers to define test strategies and ensure full coverage of business and technical requirements.Participate in sprint planning activities, provide QA estimates, and ensure test cases align with acceptance criteria.Contribute to integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and support test execution within automated workflows.Assist in triaging, reproducing, and documenting reported issues with clear, actionable details.Advocate and apply QA best practices within Agile development teams.Required Qualifications4–6 years of QA Automation experience, with at least 3+ years of hands-on automation experience using Appium and/or WebdriverIO.Proven experience with Playwright for web automation.Proven experience with MongoDB.Proven experience automating mobile (iOS/Android) and/or web test suites at scale.Solid understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques, and defect lifecycle management.Experience using bug tracking tools (e.G., ClickUp, Jira) and version control systems (e.G., GitLab).

Familiarity with continuous integration tools—especially GitLab CI—and integrating automated test suites into CI pipelines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Nice to HaveExposure to API testing, performance testing, or security validation.Knowledge of AWS or cloud infrastructure.Experience managing work in ClickUp.Why Work with Sonatafy?
