Junior Front-End Engineer (Remote – South America)

Hours: Full-Time, U.S. Business Hours

Engagement: Independent Contractor

Schedule: Open to weekend schedule for stronger overlap

Salary: $1,500–$2,000 USD/month - based on experience

About the Opportunity

We are building a brand-new SaaS platform from the ground up and we're looking for a driven Junior Front-End Engineer to join the team. You'll work closely with the founders to build a zero-to-one product using React, TypeScript, C#, and .NET.

This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, thrives in fast-moving environments, and wants to grow quickly while contributing to a high-traction product.

Who You'll Work With

A sharp, complementary founding duo:

  • Technical Lead – 5+ years at Microsoft & Citadel, building production-grade systems
  • Business Lead – Mega-fund VC with deep SaaS experience in scaling, GTM, and strategy

What You'll Do

Frontend (Primary)

  • Build components and pages in React/TypeScript
  • Fix UI issues and improve performance
  • Implement features with designers & senior engineers

Backend (Secondary)

  • Support API and service development
  • Assist on integrations between frontend and backend

Engineering Practices

  • Contribute to code reviews, architecture, and scoping
  • Surface issues early and propose solutions
  • Uphold a high-quality engineering mindset
Requirements
  • 1+ year professional experience in software development
  • Strong skills in React + TypeScript
  • Basic backend understanding (Java, C#, .NET is a plus)
  • Portfolio showcasing web development work
  • Strong English communication skills (C1+)
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced startup settings
  • Bachelor's in a technical field (academic honors preferred) interactions

Preferred Backgrounds:

  • Internship or junior role in a SaaS or startup environment
  • Familiarity with Git and basic testing workflows
  • Personal or academic projects showing strong fundamentals
