Senior UIUX Engineer

Role Overview

Chat AEC is transforming the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry by embedding Artificial Intelligence into the tools professionals already use. We are seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to join our Software team in León, Guanajuato.

In this role, you will lead the design of intuitive, scalable, and high-impact digital experiences across web and mobile platforms. You will work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and key stakeholders to define and deliver user-centered solutions that support business objectives. This position requires strong design leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to mentor and influence cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

User Experience (UX)

• Lead user research activities including interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform design decisions.
• Define and own user personas, journey maps, and end-to-end user flows.
• Translate research insights into strategic UX solutions aligned with product and business goals.
• Advocate for usability, accessibility, and user-centered design best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
• Continuously evaluate and improve user experiences based on feedback, data, and industry standards.

User Interface (UI)

• Design high-quality, low- to high-fidelity wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for web and mobile applications.
• Own the visual direction and ensure consistency across products.
• Define, maintain, and evolve design systems, UI components, and style guides.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate and efficient implementation of designs.
• Ensure high standards for visual design, interaction patterns, and responsive behavior.

Leaderhip & Collaboration

• Lead cross-functional collaboration with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business and technical goals.
• Facilitate and lead design reviews, providing clear and constructive feedback.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the growth of the design team.
• Influence product strategy by advocating for strong UX decisions and long-term design vision.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design or related roles.
• Strong expertise in UX research methods, interaction design, and visual design principles.
• Advanced proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, Axure, Marvel, or Balsamiq.
• Proven experience designing complex systems such as dashboards, admin panels, or data-heavy applications.
• Experience building and scaling design systems and component libraries.
• Strong understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead projects independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Portfolio demonstrating impactful, end-to-end UI/UX solutions.

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum product environments.
• Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, or *.
• Knowledge of motion design, micro-interactions, and animations.
• Experience with data visualization and AI-driven or SaaS products.
• Background in AEC or enterprise software.
• UX/UI certifications from recognized industry programs.

• Lead design discussions and influence product decisions.
• Support and mentor junior designers to elevate overall design quality.
