The Data and Analytics Specialist will support the preparation, integration, and reporting of organizational data within the Microsoft ecosystem. The role ensures that data is accurate, consistent, and available for analytics and reporting. Familiarity with Dynamics 365 application objects and modules, including Finance & Operations (F&O) and Customer Engagement (CE), is required to support reporting and integration activities across enterprise systems. In addition, familiarity with Microsoft Fabric as a unified data and analytics platform is essential to support data pipelines, Lakehouse structures, and semantic models that enable advanced reporting and analytics.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

Data Preparation & Curation

• Perform data curation tasks including cleaning, validation, and documentation of datasets.

• Contribute to the creation of a basic data dictionary and maintain metadata documentation.

• Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting efficiency, and automation.

Data Extraction & Transformation

• Develop and maintain SQL queries and Spark scripts for data extraction and transformation.

• Assist in maintaining pipelines, Lakehouse structures, and semantic models in Microsoft Fabric.

• Apply knowledge of Dynamics 365 application objects (entities, tables, forms, views, fields, relationships) to ensure accurate data mapping and reporting.

Reporting & Visualization

• Create and maintain reports in Dynamics 365, Power Bl, and SSRS (RDLs).

• Support reporting and data extraction from Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations modules such as Finance, HR, Operations, and Warehouse Management.

• Support reporting and data extraction from Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement modules including Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing.

Automation & Integration

• Design and implement Power Automate flows to streamline processes and trigger alerts.

• Manage SharePoint lists, libraries, and permissions to ensure secure and organized data storage.

• Collaborate on integration tasks between Dynamics 365 and other enterprise systems, ensuring data flows are consistent, secure, and documented.

Collaboration & Support

• Work with senior engineers, analysts, and business teams to clarify requirements and deliver reliable solutions.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven track record in performing a similar role, with a minimum of 4 years' experience.

• SQL: Ability to design, write, and optimize queries for extracting and transforming data.

• Apache Spark (Basic Level): Familiarity with Spark notebooks and distributed data processing concepts.

• SharePoint: Competence in managing lists, libraries, and permissions.

• Power Automate: Ability to design and deploy flows for automation and integration.

• RDLs (SSRS): Basic skills in editing and deploying RDL files.

• Dynamics 365 Reports: Experience in dashboards, reports, and queries with knowledge of application objects.

• Power Bl: Basic proficiency in data modeling, dashboards, and DAX expressions.

• Microsoft Fabric: Awareness of Lakehouse architecture, pipelines, and semantic models, including medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold layers).

• Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O): Basic understanding of data structures and reporting needs.

• Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE): Familiarity with Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing modules.

• System Integration: Awareness of APls, connectors, and data pipelines linking Dynamics 365 with other enterprise systems
