Senior Cost Recovery

We are looking for a highly skilled professional to
lead the implementation and control of cost recovery
mechanisms in energy projects in Mexico, ensuring regulatory compliance and financial efficiency.

As
Senior Cost Recovery
, you will be responsible for establishing, implementing, and ensuring an effective company-wide cost recovery mechanism. This role involves coordinating processes across Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, and Operations to guarantee
investment recoverability.
You will also perform financial analysis, budget control, reporting to authorities and partners, and develop strategies to maximize cost recovery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze costs, budgets, and variances.
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations for management.
  • Consolidate activities and costs into automated reports.
  • Develop strategies to improve recovery efficiency and reduce unclaimed expenses.
  • Support governmental audits and ensure compliance.
  • Review invoices and purchase orders for accuracy and alignment with budgets.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Petroleum Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of cost control experience in Construction or Operations within the Oil & Gas industry (Gulf of Mexico preferred).
  • Experience with upstream PSC contracts and strong financial/operational understanding.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Broad knowledge of project controls and SAP (Financials and Materials Management modules).

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, verbal, and written).
  • Self-starter, detail-oriented, team player, and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Languages:

  • English (professional proficiency).
