YOUR TASKS

Your Role
As a Senior Software Test Engineer – Technical Coordinator, you will lead software and system-level verification activities for embedded automotive systems. You will define the test strategy, analyze requirements for testability, coordinate technical test activities, and ensure rigorous validation across Software Tests, Software Integration Tests, and System Integration Tests. Serving as a technical reference, you will guide test design, automation, tool usage, and continuous improvement throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

 
Test Strategy & Technical Leadership
Define and maintain the overall test strategy, covering Software Test and Software Integration Test.
Classify and manage test levels, defining objectives, entry/exit criteria, and required environments.
Perform requirement analysis for testability, identifying gaps, risks, and required clarifications.
Provide technical guidance to the test team, ensuring consistent application of testing methodologies and standards.
Review system and software designs to ensure traceability and testability across the entire system.

Software & System Testing
Design, implement, and execute test cases for embedded software at component, integration, and system levels.
Validate in‑vehicle network protocols such as KWP2000, UDS, J1939, and communication interfaces like CAN and LIN.
Conduct failure analysis, root‑cause investigations, and collaborate with development teams for issue resolution.
Perform CAPL scripting, code stubbing, and debugging activities to support test automation and simulation.
Ensure alignment with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 61508, ISO

Test Environment & Toolchain Coordination
Develop and maintain test environments including HIL systems, simulation tools, test benches, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies.
Utilize tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, WinIdea, HIL platforms, and proprietary test automation frameworks.
Support automation strategy development, including scripting and framework enhancements.
Coordinate setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of test equipment and toolchains.

Test Planning, Monitoring & Reporting
Create comprehensive test plans defining scope, timelines, coverage, risks, and resource needs.
Monitor and track the progress of test execution, coverage KPIs, and defect trends.
Prepare clear and structured test reports, providing insights, risks, and decision‑making support for management.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and process optimization.


YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or a related discipline

6 to 8 years of relevant experience in embedded systems testing, ideally in the automotive domain.
Strong experience in Software Test, Software Integration Test, and System Integration Test.
Experience verifying in‑vehicle networking protocols (KWP2000, UDS, J1939) and communication protocols (CAN, LIN).
Hands-on experience in requirement analysis, test case design, execution, reporting, CAPL programming, and code stubbing.
Practical experience using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and other lab equipment.
Basic understanding of hardware/software interfaces, microprocessors, and microcontrollers.
Good knowledge of Embedded C.
Familiarity with test automation, including scripting and framework usage.
Proficient with tools such as WinIdea, CANoe, CANalyzer, HIL systems, and other automotive testing environments.
Knowledge of testing methods and safety-related standards (IEC 61508, ISO
LabVIEW experience and ISTQB certification are strong advantages.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
Experience in Test Planning, Strategy Definition, and Reporting to Management.
