About the Role
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Software QA Engineer to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications and software products. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QA strategies, demonstrate independent problem-solving, and be comfortable working in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- · Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for new features and product enhancements.
- · Build and expand automated test suites using tools like Selenium for web applications.
- · Perform a mix of manual and automated testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing with tools such as JMeter.
- · Collaborate closely with developers and product managers from concept to launch, ensuring requirements and acceptance criteria are clear and verifiable.
- · Quickly gain an understanding of business and domain-specific requirements to craft test cases that ensure full coverage.
- · Provide timely, actionable, and data-driven feedback on product quality, leveraging Jira to report and track issues.
- · Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- · Analyze reports (e.g., load vs. sound performance) and proactively identify potential issues without prompting.
- · Demonstrate understanding of QA strategy and its impact on organizational success.
- · Identify common QA pitfalls (e.g., undetected bugs) and propose thoughtful solutions.
- · Write scripts, develop test cases, and work independently to ensure robust testing coverage.
Required Qualifications
- · Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- · 4+ years of Quality Assurance experience.
- · Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and techniques.
- · Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- · Proven experience in web application testing, including hands-on experience with Selenium for automation and JMeter for performance testing.
- · Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.
- · Excellent analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- · ISTQB or other relevant QA certifications are a plus.
- · Ability to craft test cases and walk through problem-solving examples during discussions
