Payment Methods Implementation & Technical Support Specialist

Location: Mexico City, on-site

Role summary

The Implementation and Technical Support Specialist will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining technology solutions related to payment methods, ensuring their correct operation in testing and development environments. The role also involves active participation in client meetings to gather new functional requirements, propose improvements, and provide specialized technical support. This position combines technical tasks, client interaction, and project follow‑up.

Key responsibilities

  • Implementation and Configuration

  • Installation and configuration of microservices developed in JavaScript.

  • Configuration and administration of MySQL or Oracle databases.
  • Configuration and operation of Linux systems used by payment platforms.
  • Installation, upgrades, and deployment of applications in development and testing environments.

  • Monitoring, Analysis, and Support

  • Proactive monitoring of servers and services in development and QA environments.

  • Analysis, diagnosis, and identification of technical incidents, ensuring rapid resolution or escalation when necessary.
  • Technical support for internal and external clients, ensuring operational continuity and service quality.

  • Client Interaction and Continuous Improvement

  • Participation in client meetings to:

  • Gather new functional requirements.
  • Understand operational and technical needs.
  • Propose improvements, optimizations, and changes to existing solutions.
  • Clear and detailed documentation of gathered requirements and functionalities.

  • Management and Documentation

  • Preparation of technical and operational documentation related to installations, configurations, incidents, and implemented changes.

  • Tracking project status, keeping information up to date, and collaborating with the various teams involved.
  • Contributing to process improvements by identifying opportunities for automation or standardization.

Technical requirements

  • Solid knowledge of JavaScript microservices.
  • Experience working with MySQL and/or Oracle.
  • Strong skills in Linux administration and usage (Debian, RedHat, or other distributions).
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, or similar).
  • Understanding of Development and QA environments.
  • Ability to analyze logs, interpret errors, and apply incident‑resolution methodologies.
  • Experience with payment methods (Preferred).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes / Docker (Preferred).

Resumen del Rol

El Implementador y Soporte Técnico será responsable de instalar, configurar y mantener soluciones tecnológicas vinculadas a medios de pago, asegurando su correcto funcionamiento en entornos de pruebas y desarrollo. También participará activamente en reuniones con clientes para relevar nuevas funcionalidades, proponer mejoras y brindar soporte técnico especializado. El rol combina tareas técnicas, interacción con clientes y seguimiento de proyectos.

Responsabilidades Principales

  • Implementación y Configuración

  • Instalación y configuración de microservicios desarrollados en JavaScript.

  • Configuración y administración de bases de datos MySQL u Oracle.
  • Configuración y operación de sistemas Linux utilizados por las plataformas de medios de pago.
  • Instalación, actualización y puesta en marcha de aplicaciones en entornos de desarrollo y pruebas.

  • Monitoreo, Análisis y Soporte

  • Monitoreo proactivo de servidores y servicios en ambientes de desarrollo y QA.

  • Análisis, diagnóstico y detección de incidentes técnicos, asegurando una rápida resolución o escalamiento.
  • Soporte técnico a clientes internos y externos, garantizando continuidad operacional y calidad del servicio.

  • Interacción con Clientes y Mejora Continua

  • Participación en reuniones con clientes para:

  • Relevar nuevas funcionalidades requeridas.
  • Entender necesidades operativas y técnicas.
  • Proponer mejoras, optimizaciones y cambios en las soluciones existentes.
  • Documentación clara y detallada de requerimientos y funcionalidades relevadas.

  • Gestión y Documentación

  • Elaboración de documentación técnica y operativa sobre instalaciones, configuraciones, incidentes y cambios realizados.

  • Seguimiento del estado de los proyectos, manteniendo actualizada la información y colaborando con los distintos equipos involucrados.
  • Contribución en la mejora de procesos, detectando oportunidades de automatización o estandarización.

Requisitos Técnicos

  • Conocimientos sólidos en microservicios JavaScript.
  • Experiencia trabajando con MySQL y/o Oracle.
  • Dominio en administración y uso de Linux (Debian, RedHat u otras distros).
  • Familiaridad con herramientas de monitoreo (Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus, u otras).
  • Comprensión de entornos de desarrollo, QA.
