PLC Programmer

We are looking for highly motivated PLC Programmer with significant understanding and functional experience with Allen Bradley RSLogix 5000 or Siemens Step7 / TIA Portal.

Perform PLC logic and programming duties using, but not limited to, the following:

• AB Control Logix controllers
• Rockwell programming software – RSLogix 5000 and FactoryTalk View
• Winccflex 2008
• TIA Portal
• Step 7 version 5.4 & 5.5
• Omron
• Profinet, Industrial ENet and DNet
• Develop and implement standard engineering practices and provide detailed documentation upon project completion;
• To ensure that controls and logic programs developed are efficient and that they adhere to the standards and needs of the customer and Astra Controls ;
• To introduce programming improvements in controls and logic systems that are consistent with customer changes or manufacturing needs;
• To de-bug, tryout and verify I/O signals and interference zones in the system;
• To maintain frequent communication with mechanical and controls design personnel, as well as with manufacturing personnel, throughout the entire programming, and tryout phases of installation;

The candidate should be willing to work flexible hours, should have prior manufacturing floor experience.
