Regional Manufacturing Engineering Director

As Regional Manufacturing Engineering Director, you will lead and shape the manufacturing engineering strategy across North America. This is a senior leadership role with broad influence across engineering, operations, product development, and sales, focused on driving innovation, scalability, and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Lead the regional manufacturing engineering function, setting direction, priorities, and standards.
- Build, develop, and scale
Centers of Excellence (COEs)
to support business growth and changing customer needs. - Partner closely with
Product Development, Sales, and Plant Leadership
from early design through production to enable design-in and build-to-spec solutions. - Drive manufacturing
innovation and automation
, including tooling, equipment, and advanced manufacturing technologies. - Support
new product introduction (NPI)
and help build a strong pipeline of future business opportunities. - Champion
sustainable and "green" manufacturing initiatives
. - Develop and mentor high-performing engineering teams across the region.
- Ensure protection of
product intellectual property and patents
.
What We're Looking For
- Strong foundation in
Mechanical Engineering
and manufacturing operations. - Hands-on experience with
tooling, automation, precision engineering, stamping, molding, plating, and machinery
. - Proven track record of leading manufacturing innovation and continuous improvement.
- Automotive manufacturing experience required
, ideally in powertrain or harsh under-the-hood environments; electrification experience is a plus. - Demonstrated ability to
lead, influence, and develop teams
across multiple sites. - Collaborative, pragmatic leader who can operate strategically while staying close to execution.
