Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for inquiries and support related to import and export shipments.
- Manage and monitor shipment processes for maritime and air freight, coordinating with various departments including logistics, customs, and carriers to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in compliance with regulatory standards and company requirements, facilitating efficient customs clearance and shipment tracking.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly, minimizing operational disruptions and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights and feedback based on customer interactions and operational observations.
Professional Experience and Skills:
- Proven experience in customer service roles within the shipping or freight forwarding industry, with a focus on maritime and air import/export processes.
- Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, shipping documentation, and logistical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
- Proficient in using relevant software systems related to freight management and customer service.
