Remote Position
Allegion México is currently seeking a Lead SQL Database Administrator to join our Site Reliability Engineering team. As the Lead SQL Database Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining Allegion's SQL database systems, both in the cloud and on-premises. This role is crucial in ensuring the security, integrity, and performance of our database environments across the Allegion landscape.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures and schemas to meet business requirements.
- Install, configure, and upgrade SQL database software and related products in the cloud and on-premises.
- Implement and maintain database security measures, including access control, authentication, data encryption, unauthorized access, and cyber threats.
- Estimate future database storage requirements and plan for scalability and growth.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including database schemas, configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing SQL Server database systems.
- Ability to identify and resolve database issues using monitoring tools and performance metrics.
- Ability to drive change and influence without managerial authority.
- Knowledge of scripting languages to automate tasks and database administration activities.
