SRE Developer

Your mission in the SRE team:

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) embedded in our mobile app development squads, you will work side-by-side with backend and mobile engineers to ensure new features and services are reliable, scalable, and maintainable from day one. You'll bring an operational mindset into the development lifecycle, embedding best practices such as monitoring, capacity planning, and resilience testing. By applying SRE principles, you'll help product teams move faster while ensuring end-users enjoy a seamless, high-quality experience.

Your day-to-day:

  • Product Reliability:
    Collaborate with product engineering teams to design and launch services that meet reliability and performance standards.
  • Embedded Partnership:
    Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and design sessions to bring operational insights directly into product development.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Define and enforce SLOs/SLIs with product teams, helping balance feature velocity with reliability using error budgets.
  • Incident Readiness & Response:
    Help product teams build runbooks, monitoring, and alerting; participate in on-call rotations and guide postmortems for product-specific services.
  • Automation & Efficiency:
    Build tools and processes that reduce friction for developers and accelerate the release pipeline without sacrificing stability.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Use data-driven approaches (availability metrics, latency analysis, usage patterns) to identify opportunities to improve both product reliability and user experience.
  • Advocacy:
    Act as the reliability champion within the development group, spreading SRE culture and practices across product teams.
  • AI First
    : Use AI tools to support and accelerate development, testing and monitoring of our services.

Your profile:

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in coding skills in Java & experience with Spring Boot
  • Familiarity with Restless API development.
  • Experience designing, deploying, and supporting distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native technologies (Kubernetes, Docker, GCP/AWS/Azure).
  • Hands-on experience with observability tools (metrics, tracing, logging).
  • 3 years of Embedded experience

Preferred:

  • Previous experience as an SRE or software engineer with a focus on reliability.
  • Understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines and release engineering practices.
  • Experience defining and tracking SLOs/SLIs and working with error budgets.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence developers to adopt best practices.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing, production-grade services at scale.
