Graphic Designer, Junior

The Opportunity:
This is a creative position and we're looking for someone with great energy, vision, and talent.  This position works closely with the content development teams both in the US and Mexico to ensure on-time and quality training products.    Key Responsibilities:

• Creating quality designs and graphics to illustrate eLearning courses.
• Generating storyboards for course slides and animations.
• Collaborating with the Development and Multimedia Team on visual standards and strategy.
• Reviewing and providing feedback on course graphics and designs created by other graphic artists.
• Staying abreast of current graphic trends.
• Sourcing readily available materials for our media library.
• Playing an active role as a creative solutions contributor to development teams.

Job Qualifications:

• Outstanding portfolio of visual graphics work.
• Strong conceptual and design skills.
• Mid-level English.
• Experience working with 2D graphics software, including proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• Competent with Google Workspace.
• 1-2 years of experience working as a Graphic Artist, Graphic Designer, Multimedia Artist or in a related field.  Preference given to those with eLearning experience.
• College degree preferred in a related field.
• Strong proactive communication skills.
• Excellent grammar and written communications skills.
• Must be self-directed.
• Must be highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to get the job done right.
• Preferred, but not required:
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools.
  • Examples: Adobe Captivate, Storyline, (Lectora (ELB), or Flow (Dominknow).
  • Familiarity with Responsive design.
  • Familiarity with Accessibility web design (WCAG 2.0).
  • Experience with illustrating content.
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Slack, Zoom.
  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, Javascript, CSS.

• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to self-manage multiple projects in different stages of production while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high-quality standard.
• Able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (sometimes remotely) to create the most visually compelling illustrations & media that support the content of our training products.
• Ability to work successfully with a global, virtual team
• Demonstrated ability to be a creative, self-reliant, self-organizing problem solver while working in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze current graphic trends and adapt/ apply them as needed to enhance our eLearning course library.
• Ability to work well under deadline pressures.

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is 26,666 MXN - 30,000 MXN.
