About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager
to oversee the delivery of
data and analytics initiatives
built on the
Databricks platform
. The ideal candidate will combine
project leadership experience
with a solid understanding of
data engineering workflows, cloud platforms, and modern analytics solutions
. You will partner with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure timely, quality, and cost-effective project delivery across a distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver
    end-to-end Databricks-based data platform projects
    on cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Manage
    project scope, schedules, risks, and budgets
    while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with
    data engineers, architects, and analysts
    to track progress on ETL/ELT pipelines, Delta Lake implementations, and data governance activities.
  • Facilitate
    agile ceremonies
    (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and promote continuous improvement.
  • Monitor
    project metrics, dependencies, and stakeholder updates
    using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow.
  • Ensure compliance with
    data security, governance, and quality standards
    (Unity Catalog, IAM, encryption).
  • Communicate project milestones, blockers, and delivery timelines effectively to leadership and business sponsors.
  • Drive
    cross-functional collaboration
    across global teams and ensure successful handoff to support and operations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Information Technology, Computer Science, or Project Management
    (Master's preferred).
  • 7+ years
    of project management experience in
    data or cloud-based initiatives
    .
  • Proven track record managing
    Databricks
    or
    data platform modernization projects
    .
  • Experience with
    cloud environments
    (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and data tools such as Delta Lake, Apache Spark, or MLflow.
  • Strong understanding of
    agile methodologies
    and
    DevOps practices
    for data delivery.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in cross-functional environments.
  • Fluent in English (Spanish is a plus).

Preferred Skills

  • PMP, PMI-ACP, or Scrum Master certification
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Unity Catalog, data lineage, and governance frameworks
    .
  • Experience coordinating
    multi-region data teams
    and vendor resources.
  • Prior work in
    finance, healthcare, or telecom
    domains.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to delivery timelines and budgets.
